Battenhurst is a hard, vegetarian cheese made using raw milk from Friesland ewes and matured for around a year. The cheese is individually packaged in 200g pieces.

Maturation Period: One year

Tasting Notes: Battenhurst is a very hard and fairly salty cheese with quite a sharp, tangy and full strength taste owing to its long maturation period.

How to Enjoy: It is an ideal accompaniment to salads and roasted vegetables, and is a delicious ingredient in tarts
